One bag per person with the basics to leave home quickly.
The idea
A go-bag holds what you would need for several days if you had to leave in a hurry. Keep it somewhere everyone can find it, and check it twice a year.
Start with
Water and food for several days
Flashlight, radio and extra batteries
First aid kit and your medicines
Phone charger and backup battery
Copies of important documents and some cash
Whistle, dust mask, local maps
