A tarp is a roof, a ground sheet, a windbreak or a rain catcher.
Look for
At least 8 × 10 ft
Reinforced grommets or tie-out loops on the corners and edges
Waterproof material (polyethylene is cheap; silnylon is light)
Avoid
Thin tarps with flimsy grommets that tear out in wind
Tip
Keep cord and stakes packed with the tarp.
